A vehicle had to be towed following a single-vehicle wreck near Ainsworth Monday night. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 9:58 p.m. emergency authorities were notified of an iPhone crash detection with no call back near Old White Way and Yucca Avenue, about four miles southeast of Ainsworth. 

Deputies responded with Ainsworth Fire Department, Ainsworth QRS, Washington County Ambulance and Washington County Rescue. Aircare was contacted for standby and was disregarded. 

The vehicle was driven by Joseph Sloce of Virginia. He was cited for failure to maintain control and given a written warning for use of an electronic device. No injuries were reported.
