
Flooding continues along the Iowa River and the flood warning at Marengo is in place through Friday. According to the National Weather Service, minor flooding is occurring at Marengo with water several feet deep in places. The Marengo area has experienced flood warnings and watches most of the month of July.
The flood stage there is 15 feet and on Monday water was at 15.7 feet. The river level is expected to continue to rise slowly over the next few days and crest at 16.1 feet on Wednesday evening.
