The Sigourney Savages had another outstanding baseball season, going undefeated in conference play on their way to winning the South Iowa Cedar League for the first time since 2021. They were led to another successful season thanks to 10 players who received all-conference honors.

That includes Chase Clarahan, who receives a first-team nod at pitcher after going 5-0 with a 1.80 earned-run average and 53 strikeouts in 35 innings on the mound. The sophomore also had a .366 batting average, seven home runs and 33 runs batted in at the plate.

Senior Cole McKay is a first-team choice at infielder after hitting .391 with 39 runs scored as well as nine doubles, two homers, 33 RBI and 22 stolen bases.

Sophomore outfielder Lincoln Power also scored 39 times in a breakout season, batting .468 with 12 doubles, three home runs and 28 runs driven in on his way to a first-team selection. Senior Isaac Bruns also is a first-team outfielder thanks to a .408 average, nine doubles, three homers, 29 runs batted in and another 33 runs scored.

Caden Clarahan picks up first-team accolades once again for Sigourney as a utility player after hitting .438 with five home runs and 39 RBI, while fellow senior Brady Clark makes the second team at infielder after batting .352 and scoring 37 runs.

Sophomore Landon Conrad is a second-team choice at pitcher after collecting a team-high 54 strikeouts and 2.82 ERA to go with a team-high six wins and nearly 40 innings of work.

Freshman Hunter Sellers makes the second team as a utility player after posting a team-high .500 average, three doubles, one home run and 20 runs batted in, as well as a 3.21 ERA and 32 strikeouts in just over 28 innings pitched.

Junior Solon Yates and sophomore Ike Molyneux earn honorable mentions for the Savages, who had a record of 22-4 this summer. Head coach Lee Crawford is also named the South Iowa Cedar League Coach of the Year after leading Sigourney to as high as a number-two ranking in the state in Class 1A.
