With the 2025-2026 school year less than a month away, the Highland High School Marching Band is getting ready for its next season of performances.

The Husky band will perform arrangements from the musical “Wicked,” which is currently in between releases for its two-part movie adaptation, in its 2025 show.

Highland Band Director Andrew McDonald described how he revealed the show to the students, “It felt very timely… I told them on the last day of school, that way they spent all summer thinking and being excited about this.”

Highland band camp will be August 11-15 from noon to 4 p.m., and students new to the district looking to join the band can contact amcdonald@highlandhuskies.org. Band students returning to the district will receive information directly from McDonald.
