The KCII listening area is still under an extreme heat watch through Thursday, following a recent heat advisory. 

According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, heat and humidity will remain increased through Thursday with peak heat indices of 95 to 105 degrees. An extreme heat watch has been issued through Thursday evening for all of southeast Iowa

Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. If you must be outside, take multiple breaks, drink lots of water, and know when to seek a cooler space.
