The KCII Big Red Radio took a trip to Wapello on Saturday for Chief Wapello Days as a part of the Summer Town Tour.

KCII staff broadcast the event live Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon. Saturday’s events included a pancake breakfast and other indoor activities. A color run, tractor show and car cruise parade were all cancelled due to storms in the area.

Earlier in the week, the festival was host to a lighted parade, live music, food vendors, a pro rodeo, and a teen dance.

The Big Red Radio will return to Louisa County on Monday and Thursday as it travels to Columbus Junction for the Louisa County Fair. The one to count on to take you where the action is, AM and FM KCII.
