The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of northwestern Washington, Keokuk, Iowa, Johnson, Benton and Linn counties in eastern Iowa at around 6:53 a.m. Saturday. 

Radar-indicated hazards included 60mph winds, penny-sized hail and heavy rainfall. Two members of the KCII Severe Weather Action Team responded with live coverage. Had the power gone out, coverage would have continued with our emergency back-up generators.
