This week’s Athlete of the Week is Hillcrest Academy baseball player Phoenix Anderson. The senior pitched a complete game shutout in the Ravens’ 1-0 win over Pekin in the substate finals to help Hillcrest advance to the Class 1A state tournament, and he has a 6-0 record a team-best 0.66 earned-run average on the mound for the first Ravens team to reach state since 2008.
