The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of Washington and Keokuk Counties in southeast Iowa at around 4:51 p.m. Thursday. Radar-indicated hazards included 60mph wind gusts, one inch in diameter hail and heavy rainfall. Two members of the KCII Severe Weather Action Team responded with live coverage. Had the power gone out, coverage would have continued with our emergency back-up generators. The one to count on is KCII.
