Public safety officials across Washington County responded to 12 fireworks-related incidents over the 4th of July weekend.

Among the 12 reports that officials responded to, eight were resident complaints surrounding the launching of fireworks, three were dog owners reporting that their pets had run away during the fireworks, and the final report was a fire reportedly started by fireworks.

10 of the incidents were reported within the Washington city limits, while one report was made in both Crawfordsville and Ainsworth. The Washington Police Department responded to nine calls, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to two, and the Washington Fire Department responded to one.

No injuries were reported in relation to the calls.
