The Hillcrest Academy Raven softball team returns to Kalona Thursday for their Senior Night game against New London/Winfield-Mt. Union. The Ravens are 11-14 this year, 6-8 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division after a 9-1 loss to No. 2 in Class 2A Louisa-Muscatine last time out. The Ravens hit .291 as a lineup this year with a .419OBP, and .374 slug, 172 runs, 188 hits, 123RBI, 120 walks and 193 strikeouts. Five Ravens are hitting .300 or better, led by Delaney Shaw at .529 with 31RBI and 28 runs scored. Malia Yoder has a team best 40 hits. In the circle, Yoder is 9-11 with a 5.30ERA, 2.05WHIP, .256 opponent average, 164 hits, 86 earned runs, 69 walks and 104 strikeouts. Ella Mize has three saves.

New London/Winfield-Mt. Union stands at 2-19 this year and 1-8 in the Superconference after a 5-0 home loss to Holy Trinity Catholic. The Tigers hit .200 as a group with a .302OBP and .243 slug with 76 runs, 114 hits, 40RBI, 73 walks and 143 strikeouts. Morgan Jones is the individual leader with a .278 average and 12 runs scored. Olivia Hester has eight RBI and Shaylee Brothersen 16 total hits. In the circle, Kylea Schwenker is 2-16 in 101 innings with a 131 hits, 97 earned runs, 81 walks, 107 strikeouts, a 6.70ERA and a 2.09WHIP.

These two teams have split the last six in the series with the Ravens winning three straight, including an 11-7 victory three weeks ago. The Ravens will honor seven seniors during a ceremony tonight including Kylee Statler, Malia Yoder, Hailey Chalupa, Morgyn Nafziger, Delaney Shaw, Erin Bontrager, and Lydia Beachy. First pitch is scheduled for 7p.m. In Kalona.
