The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball team will squeeze in one more game before the holiday weekend when they host the Eddyville-Blakesburg Rockets Thursday at Carr, Vincent, Gould Field in Kalona. The Golden Hawks are 6-19 on the season and trying to snap a 10-game-skid after a 5-3 loss at Washington Wednesday. Mid-Prairie hits .262 as a group with a .360OBP and .344 slug, scoring 118 runs, 158 hits, 99RBI, 77 walks and 115 strikeouts. Sophie Miller leads with a .444 average, 32 total hits and 20 runs scored. Kadence Grout has a team best 19RBI. Grout and Alena Snider have worked 160 innings with a .321opponent average, 202 hits, 146 earned runs 59 walks, 50 strikeouts, an 8.10ERA and WHIP at two.

Eddyville-Blakesburg is 10-19 this year, 4-9 in the South Central Conference. They fell at Oskaloosa 9-7 Wednesday. The Rockets hit .279 as a team with a .355OBP and .403 slug on 138 runs, 195 hits, 117RBI, 76 walks and 153 strikeouts. Sadie Jager is at .375 with 21RBI to lead, Kaylee Helm has 34 hits and 22 runs scored.
