This week, the Washington Farmers Market may look a little different to regular attendees. 

The Washington Farmers Market has encouraged youth to participate in this evening’s market. All kids ages 4-18 have been invited to the Kid’s Day at the Market. There is no setup fee for any vendor 18 and under. The first eight kids that enrolled will be set up around the fountain, and the rest will be displaying their wares throughout the Market alongside the adult vendors.

The hope with the Kid’s Market is to help build the confidence and skills of the participating youth vendors and give them a space to showcase their skills and passion with our community. During this special market you should expect everything from handmade bracelets, bookmarks, decorated housewares, and artwork. Others may distribute baked goods; and even produce or flowers they’ve grown. 

The market opening bell will ring at 5 p.m. this evening.
