It’s a KCII area triangular on the diamond Tuesday night in a baseball softball doubleheader for Hillcrest Academy. The Raven softball team squares off with the Columbus Wildcats tonight in Kalona. The Ravens are 9-9 on the year and 5-7 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference after a 11-4 loss at Highland to start the week. The Ravens hit .304 as a team with a .439OBP and .383 slug with 146 runs and hits, 104RBI, 101 walks and 142 strikeouts. Malia Yoder leads the team with a .586 average and 34 total hits. Morgyn Nafziger has a team best 24 runs scored and Delaney Shaw 22 RBI. In the circle, Yoder, Ella Mize and Lyla Genkinger have a combined 4.06ERA, 1.83WHIP, and .237 opponent average on 141 hits, 64 earned runs, 61 walks and 110 strikeouts.

Columbus is 10-8 on the year and 6-2 in the Superconference after beating Keokuk 14-1 and Cardinal 8-5 at the Comets home tournament this weekend. The Wildcats hit .284 as a team with a .390OBP, and .392 slug with 114 runs, 133 hits, 93RBI, 53 walks and 99 strikeouts. Lily Coil is the leader with a .547 average, 29 total hits and 28RBI. Daniela Diaz has scored 24 runs. In the circle, Coil and Kennedy Woepking have combined on a 1.91ERA, 1.38WHIP and .200 opponent average with 91 hits, 29 earned runs, 56 walks and 102 strikeouts. These teams have split their last six meetings, including a 14-12 Wildcat win earlier this summer.

The Raven baseball team is 8-6 on the year and 7-2 in the Superconference after a commanding 9-0 win over Highland on the road Monday. This season, Hillcrest is hitting .251 as a team with a .383OBP and .327 slug, 93 runs, 87 hits, 75RBI, 59 walks and 104 strikeouts. Rowan Miller leads with a .317 average with 15 runs scored. He and Mason Helmuth each have 13 hits and Liam Schrock has 15 RBI. On the mound, the Raven staff ERA is 3.02 with a 1.10WHIP and .206 opponent average on 63 hits, 36 earned runs, 29 walks and 71 strikeouts. Seth Ours and Phoenix Anderson are a combined 6-1 with a 1.20ERA.

Winfield-Mt. Union/Columbus is 4-10 on the year and 4-5 in conference after a 12-0 win over Wapello last night. The Wolves are hitting .316 as a team with a .416OBP and .386 slug with 76 runs, 119 hits, 64RBI, 53 walks and 90 strikeouts. Individually, Riley Kaalberg is at .477 with 21 total hits and 15RBI to lead. Kohlby Newsom has scored 13 runs. On the mound, the WMU/Columbus ERA is 3.76 with a 1.69WHIP and .171 opponent average on 75 hits, 46 earned runs, 70 walks and 88 strikeouts. Lane Genkinger has a pair of wins and a three ERA.
