A landscape design workshop is being held for Columbus Junction residents. The program is part of the Iowa Living Roadways Community Visioning project, which provides design services to rural cities throughout the Hawkeye state. Columbus Junction residents are invited to attend and provide input on future community landscape plans for the city at the June 25th workshop.
The event is held with the Louisa Development Group, the Iowa Department of Transportation, Trees Forever, and Iowa State University Extension Community and Economic Development.
The project has already completed a community survey, transportation assessment and landscape summary. A landscape plan using that information will be created by the steering committee, who will take input from community members at the workshop on the 25th.
The workshop will be hosted from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bard Station Coffee House.
