The Mid-Prairie School Board is soliciting candidates to run for three seats that will be up for election this year.
The seats of board president Jake Snider and board members Gabrielle Frederick and Jed Seward will go to voters this November. The board mentioned a search for candidates at its most recent meeting on June 9 and has made multiple social media posts asking community members to run. Frederick indicated during a May school board meeting that she does not intend to run for re-election.
Candidates must collect a minimum of 50 signatures from residents of the Mid-Prairie Community School District. District business manager and school board secretary Jeff Swartzentruber encouraged candidates to collect many additional signatures in case of challenges. Signatures must be collected on the nomination/petition form found on Mid-Prairie’s website.
Paperwork must be submitted to Swartzentruber between August 25 and September 18.
