Summer meal programs are underway in the KCII listening area, providing meals to children 18 years and younger during their break from school.

The United States Department of Agriculture’s Summer Meals for Kids program has five locations in the area, with three offering eat-on-site options and two offering exclusively take-home meals.

Lincoln Upper Elementary School in Washington offers eat-on-site lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m Monday through Friday until August 8.

Roundy Elementary School in Columbus Junction offers eat-on-site breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday until June 26.

Winfield-Mt Union Schools  in Winfield offer take-out breakfast and lunch from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday until July 25.

Hills City Park in Hills offers take-out breakfast and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays until August 6.

Songbird Sanctuary Park in Hills offers take-out snacks from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on Thursdays until August 14.
