The Hillcrest Academy Raven baseball and softball teams are back on the diamond tonight when they take on New London in a Southeast Iowa Superconference crossover. The Raven boys are 5-4 this year after splitting games at the Hillcrest Classic Saturday, beating Keokuk 13-0 and falling to Central Lee 8-7. The Ravens are hitting .238 as a group with a .362OBP and .322 slug, 55 runs, 51 hits, 45RBI, 35 walks and 68 strikeouts. Individually, three Ravens are at .300 or better, led by Rowan Miller at .370 with 10 hits and nine runs scored. Mason Helmuth has a team best 11RBI. The Hillcrest staff ERA is 3.63 with a 1.26WHIP and .220 opponent batting average, 44 hits, 28 earned runs, 24 walks and 45 strikeouts. Phoenix Anderson and Seth Ours are a combined 4-0 with a 0.90ERA.

New London is 8-6 this year after dropping a 7-6 decision to Burlington on Saturday. This year the Tigers hit .326 as a team with a .453OBP, and .385 slug with 94 runs, 122 hits, 84RBI, 62 walks and 99 strikeouts. Individually, six Tigers are .300 or better, led by Memphis Watson at .500 with 22 hits and 20 runs scored. Kye Reighard has a team best 14RBI. The New London pitching staff has a 3.94ERA with a 1.89 WHIP, .204 opponent average, 93 hits, 51 earned runs, 78 walks and 63Ks. Reighard, Owen Nehring and Gage Burden are a combined 5-0 with a 2.33ERA. These teams have split their last six meetings, with the Ravens winning 11-0 last year.

The Hillcrest softball team is 5-9 on the year after beating Danville and losing to Holy Trinity Catholic at Saturday’s Hillcrest Classic. This year, the Ravens hit .301 as a lineup, with a .426OBP and .377 slug on 96 runs, 111 hits, 69RBI, 75 walks and 112 strikeouts. Individually, three Ravens are .400 or better, led by Malia Yoder at .556 with 25 total hits. Morgyn Nafziger has scored 18 times and Delaney Shaw has driven in 17. In the circle, Yoder, Ella Mize and Lyla Genkinger have combined for a 4.27ERA and 1.84WHIP, .248 opponent average, 115 hits, 52 earned runs, 42 walks and 81 strikeouts.

New London/Winfield-Mt. Union is 1-13 overall after dropping an 11-2 game to West Burlington Notre Dame Friday. This year, the Tigers hit .216 as a team with a .310OBP, .259slug, 43 runs, 61 hits, 17RBI, 36 walks and 61 strikeouts. Indivudally, Morgan Jones is at .318 and seven runs scored, Shaylee Brotherson has nine hits and Olivia Hester four RBI. Kylea Schwenker and Megan Lee have done all of the work in the circle with a 7.61ERA, 2.04WHIP, .269 opponent average, 83 hits, 62 earned runs, 33 walks and 53 strikeouts. Hillcrest has beaten the Tigers the last two seasons. Baseball is in New London and softball in Winfield, both starting tonight at 7p.m.
