A Wayland man was arrested for eluding officers on Highway 218 Wednesday night. Authorities arrested Daniel Stillings. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:49 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle with Florida plates was southbound on Highway 218 from Riverside and the vehicle was all over the roadway.

Multiple sheriff’s deputies responded. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and after some time a felony traffic stop occurred. Stillings was charged with eluding and improper lane change, further charges are pending per DCI lab results. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Stillings was taken to the Washington County jail.
