The Sigourney Savages are still undefeated on the baseball diamond this summer after beating conference rival Belle Plaine 18-5 last night. Sigourney scored four runs in the top of the first inning to immediately seize the lead, and they put the game away with seven runs in the sixth to end the contest an inning early.

With the victory, the Savages, ranked second in the state in Class 1A, improve to 6-0 in the South Iowa Cedar League and 10-0 overall. Sigourney is back in action this evening against another conference opponent in HLV.
