The community is invited to spot public art in downtown Washington and take part in the Ignite the Arts event. As part of the celebration of Washington’s Cultural and Entertainment District, a seek and find challenge has been created. There are 16 squares on the cards, each depicting a detail of a piece of art in Washington. The challenge is to name which art is shown.
This is part of Ignite the Arts – a three-day event happening in downtown Washington June 13-15. The event includes programs at the public library, a story walk around the square, sidewalk chalk by the bandstand, nocturnal painting, and En Plein Air – an outdoor painting event coordinated by Art Domestique.
Those interested in doing the seek and find challenge can pick up challenge cards at the Farmers market on June 12th or at the Washington Public Library. Completed sheets should be turned in to Art Domestique by 3 p.m. on June 15th.
