Herbicides, fungicides, and their applications will be topics at next week’s Southeast Iowa Research Farm field day. Iowa State University Extension Field Agronomist Rebecca Vittetoe shares what people can expect, “We’ll start off the field day with an update from the Farm Superintendent Cody Schneider about just kind of what’s been going on and happening at the farm. And then we have our new Extension Weed Scientist Wes Everman who will be joining us, and he’ll be talking about herbicides and weeds. So we had a herbicide injury plot that we used for our crop scout school, so we’ll be able to kind of take a look at some of the different herbicide injury symptoms we see in corn and soybeans if we have misapplications or drift-type incidents.”
No pre-registration is needed. Those interested in attending can arrive between 1 and 1:30 p.m. on June 17th at the Southeast Iowa Research Farm. The farm is located at 3115 Louisa-Washington Road, near Crawfordsville.
