The Wellman Golf Course will celebrate a century of swings on Saturday, June 14, with a 100 year celebration.

The event will start at 5 p.m. with food trucks and live music to conclude the second-annual Wellman Classic golf tournament.

The Wellman Golf Course is one of just two sand green courses in the state of Iowa.

The tournament will tee off at noon, and proceeds will go toward funding new picture windows for the clubhouse and continued course maintenance. Three spots in the tournament were still remaining as of Friday, teams of two can register by contacting Abbi Patterson at 319-430-5804.
