A pre-Washington County Fair poultry meeting will be held on June 16th.
From 6 to 7 p.m. in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall on the fairgrounds, multiple topics will be covered. Those include, how to select birds for showing, choosing the right class, preparing birds for showing, proper handling of birds, and equipment needed for the fair.
The poultry superintendent will be present to answer questions and discuss any changes for this year’s fair. Both beginning poultry and experienced poultry exhibitors are invited, and parents are encouraged to attend. This program is funded by the Washington County Extension Council.
The Washington County Fair will run from July 13th through the 18th.
