The Washington McDonald’s will be closed through October for store renovations. 

The store has been closed since Sunday, June 1st. Renovations include demolishing the building and reconstructing it, slightly repositioned, on the same lot. The building will be moved to the south, slightly reducing the footprint. Also, the number of parking spaces will be adjusted while updating sidewalks for ADA compliance. Planned changes would likely remove the building’s PlayPlace. 

Site plans were approved by the Washington City Council during a March meeting in 2024.
