Sigourney Savage baseball is still unbeaten this season after knocking off Davis County last night 8-0. Four runs each in the third and fourth innings would be enough to support another stellar night for Sigourney pitching, their third shutout of the season. The Savages, ranked fourth in the state in Class 1A, raise their record to 7-0.

Meanwhile, Sigourney softball suffered its first loss of the season to Cardinal yesterday. The Comets scored two runs right away in the first frame and would go on to win 8-1.

A home run for senior Josephine Moore was one of only three hits for the 14th-ranked Savages, who fall to 5-1. Both Sigourney squads wrap up the week this evening by facing Colfax-Mingo.
