A former Washington Police officer has returned to the department. This week Mayor Millie Youngquist swore in Officer Aaron Kephart. Kephart has 12 years of law enforcement experience and previously worked with the Washington Police Department in 2022 and 2023. Police Chief Jim Lester shared at this week’s city council meeting that Kephart will be a Community Service Officer with a focus on code and nuisance enforcement.
