The hiring process continues for the next Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator. 

County Supervisor Richard Young updated the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday with the process currently stands, “I have been working on the EMA position, with meetings last week. We are down to three candidates. So then, we have another meeting Thursday to discuss them.” 

There were eight total applicants for this position, with some being from out of state. The original hire date was estimated to be June 1. The role has been open since the end of March.
