The Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) mobile food pantry has released its schedule for the month of June and will be in Washington County twice to start the month.
The mobile pantry will be in Riverside’s Hall Park from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 3rd. On Thursday, June 5th it will be at the gym at Main and Mechanic in Brighton from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The mobile food pantry is one of several programs that HACAP provides to combat hunger in Southeast Iowa, with other programs including school pantries, senior programs, and the backpack program.
HACAP is based in Hiawatha and serves nine counties in southeastern Iowa, including Washington County. It is a member of Feeding America.
