The Washington Demons swept a softball doubleheader Wednesday night at Cardinal to get their first wins of the season. Washington scored one run in each of the first two innings of Game One, but it was a four-run burst in the fourth that put them in control of what would become an 8-1 victory.

The Demons would waste no time taking the lead in Game Two, scoring seven runs in just the opening frame of a 10-2 win. Washington is back in action tonight to wrap up Opening Week with their home opener against Ottumwa.
