
The Highland Huskies picked up a sweep of conference rival Danville on the diamond last night. Highland baseball exploded on offense, building on an early 3-0 lead with seven runs in the second inning and eight in the fourth on their way to winning 19-5 in a game that ended after five frames. It’s the first win of the season for the Huskies after an 0-2 start.
Highland softball scored three runs in the first and doubled up a 4-0 lead with another four runs in the fifth on their way to defeating Danville 8-0. The Huskies are now 2-0 ahead of taking on another rival from the Southeast Iowa Super Conference in Columbus this evening.
