lone-tree-3

The Lone Tree Lions suffered losses in three contests with Louisa-Muscatine on the diamond Tuesday night. Lone Tree baseball fell to Louisa-Muscatine 12-2, as a five-run outburst in the fourth inning put the Falcons in control and another four runs in the sixth ended the game early.

Junior Emmett Burke and sophomore Brock Nebergall had one hit and one run scored each in the season opener, while Burke and senior Brody Magruder each collected a run batted in for the Lions.

Lone Tree softball would lose both games in a doubleheader with L&M. Three runs in the first inning and four runs in the second powered the Falcons to a 10-0 win in Game One that took just five frames, and Louisa-Muscatine would follow it up with six runs in the third and fourth innings each on their way to a 19-1 victory in Game Two.

Both Lion teams will try to bounce back when they play again tonight against Pekin.
