
The Summer Field Day at the Iowa State University Southeast Research and Demonstration Farm is returning on June 17th.
This day is hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association. This year’s event offers a new format, combining traditional field day stops with a farm tour highlighting ongoing research projects. Attendees will gain insights into key agricultural topics from experts in those fields, including a research farm update and farm tour from Cody Schneider, farm superintendent. A presentation on herbicides and weeds by Wes Everman, Iowa State Extension weed scientist, and a fungicides and fungicide applications presentation by Doug Houser, a digital agriculture extension specialist with Iowa State. As well as a presentation by Jose Gonzalez, a plant pathology research scientist with Iowa State.
This field day is free to attend with check-in beginning at 1 p.m. This event is supported by ISU Extension and Outreach, Iowa State University Research Farms and the Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association.
