The Lone Tree High School Esports Team claimed the championship at the Spring Showdown. The Lions are the top of the Iowa High School Esports Association’s Spring Showdown Valorant Class 1A bracket that included eight teams. In addition, Nic Bowman was in the Esports Portal Top 100 Class of 26 in the U.S.

The Lone Tree team consisted of Bowman, Cade Willoz, Vaughn Judge, Carter Lisk, Gray Spilman, Adrian Ehlinger, and Lukas Fuhrmeister. They are coached by Jessica Howard.

The state contest was held in Marshalltown.
