Construction continues on Highway 218, and another round of exit closures is set for this week, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.

DOT Engineer Christy Van Buskirk said that construction crews will be intermittently closing exits for Hills on Thursday and Riverside on Friday, cycling through the exits while avoiding rush-hour closures. In both cases, Van Buskirk said that the southbound off ramps will be closed at 6 a.m. and the northbound on ramp will not close until 9:30 a.m., with the goal that all construction on the ramps will be completed before the afternoon rush.

The current target date for the completion of the Highway 218 construction is early July.
