Mid-Prairie Activities received a grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for a new football and track scoreboard. The WCRF announced the $60,000 grant at its May meeting.
The grant will purchase a video board for the school, which head football coach Daren Lambert said will benefit students and fans, “It’s going to provide a great experience with that video board, you can put players’ pictures up there, events from the band and the dance team, middle school games and track as well, it can post times. It’s just going to be a great upgrade to the overall experience.”
The total project is estimated to cost $160,000 and is expected to be completed by the start of next school year.
