Do you have a dapper dog or captivating cat? PAWS & More Animal Shelter in Washington is seeking pet photos for their 2026 calendar, and your pet could be featured. 

PAWS & More is holding this fundraising competition for their next calendar. From June 1st to June 30th, you can submit a photo of your pet for $10 per entry. Then, rally your friends and family to vote. Each vote is $1, and every vote counts. The top 35 photos with the most votes will be featured in the shelter’s 2026 calendar. 

The photo receiving the most votes will be “2026 Pet of the Year” and that photo will be the cover of the 2026 Calendar and will be added to one month also. 

The next top 10 photos receiving the most votes will be featured as “Pet of the Month”. Pet of the Month winners will be showcased as a large photo each month. 

A panel of judges, including the PAWS Board and staff, will choose a “Best in Show” photo that will be showcased as a large photo one month. The next 24 photos receiving the most votes will be featured as “Pet of the Week”. Two Pet of the Week winners will be included as small photos on each calendar page. 

Funds raised will be used towards their new shelter, their goal is to raise $15,000. A link to enter can be found with this news story at KCIIRadio.com.
