With students preparing for the end of the school year, the Wellman Public Library’s summer reading program is set to begin in early June.
This year’s program, “Level Up at Your Library,” has four age groups: tiny tots for those under five years old, children for ages 5-12, teens for ages 13-17, and adults for ages 18 and up.
All age groups have reading logs to fill out, and readers under 18 can earn prizes for filling their logs out.
Each age group also has activities, including a weekly story time with stories, songs, movement, and play for the tiny tots. On June 6th, a kickoff will be held at the Wellman Skating Rink. Events through the summer include The Coldblooded Redhead, Fonziba African Drums, a Foam Zone, tie-dye, Mario Kart tournament, Cat Cafe, crafts, and Cook Around the World.
Registration is currently open and can be done online at wellmanlibrary.org. Wellman’s Summer Reading Program will run June 2 through July 26.
