A semi and an SUV collided on Highway 218 near Riverside Wednesday afternoon. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 4:58 p.m. the collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway and airbags deployed. One driver involved was described as partially responsive. One person was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital.

Names of those involved were not released.

Washington County Ambulance, Riverside QRS, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.
