The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls track teams will vie for conference gold tonight at Tipton in the River Valley Conference Championship meet. The Golden Hawks are coming off of team titles Monday at Highland where the boys scored 184 points and the girls 136. The Hawks combined for 21 event titles Monday including Jayden Stafford in the wheelchair 100, 200, 400 and 800, Kaden Kos in discus, Burke Berry in shot put, Jayse Yoder in the 200 and 400, Thomas Lueck in long jump, Josh Turner high jump, Evan Reschly the two-mile, Ryan Henry the 100, Thomas Flynn the mile, the 4×800 of Flynn, Max Swartzentruber, Max Kipp and Lennox Miller, and the shuttle with Cash Brown, Kendrick Kos, Lueck and Carson Humphrey.

Golden Hawk girls winning events included discus with Dessa Poll, the 200 with Jeorgia Evans, Harper Pacha in shot put, Jovi Evans the 100, Rachel Hostetler the 1500, and the 4×100 with Jeorgia Evans, Kyrie Poll, Myli Hershberger and Jovi Evans

Tipton won the RVC girls team title last year with the Golden Hawks in third. Bellevue was the boys winner a season ago with the Hawks in fifth. Mid-Prairie will be joined tonight by Bellevue, Monticello, Maquoketa, Camanche, Tipton, Northeast Goose Lake, Anamosa, Iowa City Regina, West Liberty, West Branch, Durant, Wilton, Dyersville-Beckman and Cascade. Action starts at 4p.m. And continues into the evening at Tipton City Park.
