Several area school music departments will travel this week for the Iowa High School Music Association State Large Group Festival. The festival is an opportunity for bands, choirs and orchestras to perform and receive ratings from I through V, with I being the best. Classes 1A and 3A, as well as 4A orchestras in the Quad Cities, are performing across 13 sites on Friday, while classes 2A and 4A are performing across 10 sites on Saturday. Washington and Mid-Prairie will perform at Fairfield High School on Friday. Lone Tree will perform at Mt. Vernon on Friday.
