On May 10th, beginning at 8 a.m., the Washington Tree Committee will be having its annual free Tree Giveaway. This is sponsored in part by the Washington Iowa Betterment Foundation. This fast-moving event will take place on the east side of the square. The goal is to offer homeowners a variety of trees and to increase the diversity of species in Washington. There will be 100 trees available, with a limit of one tree per household.
