One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck near Kalona on Monday morning. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:31 a.m. two vehicles collided at Highway 1 and 110th Street, on the north side of city limits. 

The two drivers were Kadence Troyer of Kalona and Jessica Engelkes of Riverside.

One vehicle came to rest in the ditch and the road had debris on it. Washington County Ambulance transported one person to the University of Iowa hospital. 

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. There was over $1,500 in damages.

Troyer was cited for failure to maintain control.
