The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls golf teams are hitting their stride at the right time of the season. The Golden Hawk girls scored a dual win in Kalona over West Liberty Monday with one of the best rounds of the coach Tracy McArtor era. The Hawks fired a sizzling 182 to the Comets 226. Golden Hawk Lilly Miller was medalist with a 44, followed by runner-up Olivia Swartzentruber at 45. Other scores included Addison English 46, Morgyn Bender 47, Paiton Chittick 49 and Delani Blum 50. The rounds by Miller, Chittick and Blum were all career bests. The Hawks are now 25-4 with the win.

The Mid-Prairie boys were edged out 154-156 on the road, despite their best team round of the year. Bryce Henry and Hudson Ehrenfelt led the Hawks with 38 each. Cody Seiler for the Comets was meet medalist with a 37. Other Mid-Prairie scores included Ace Peck and Denver Nelson 40 each and Grayson Gingerich and Clayton Davidson 46 each. Mid-Prairie falls to 28-15 with the loss. The Golden Hawks are each in action next at the River Valley Conference championship meet in Muscatine, with the boys today and the girls Wednesday.
