Former Washington Mayor Jaron Rosien has plead guilty to assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, an aggravated misdemeanor. 

According to court documents posted on Tuesday, the parties request a contested sentencing hearing where Rosien will request a deferred judgment, and the State may request any lawful sentence. A pre-sentence investigation report shall be ordered and presented prior to the contested sentencing hearing. 

Rosien was originally charged with sexual abuse in the third degree, a Class D felony. The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred in January of 2023 in Washington. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
