Recently, Washington FFA members spent a day traveling to local elementary schools teaching students about their animals. At each station, members taught students about their animal’s role in agriculture, fun facts, and the byproducts of each animal. At the end of each station presentation students had the opportunity to pet the animals and ask questions.
Animals shown included chickens, pigs, and a horse.
To wrap up their day, the FFA members brought the animals to Halcyon House and to the United Presbyterian Home to share the same experience with the residents there.
