A plea hearing has been scheduled regarding the case involving former Washington Mayor Jaron Rosien. According to court documents issued Thursday,  the pre-trial conference that was scheduled to take place on Friday was moved to Thursday with both parties coming to a plea agreement. 

Rosien was originally charged with sexual abuse in the third degree, a Class D felony. The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred in January of 2023 in Washington.

The Court was informed through a plea agreement, that the defendant intends to plead guilty, however it was not specified whether it would be felony or misdemeanor charges. The plea entry deadline has been set for May 9th when the official plea will be presented to the court.
