One Washington High School senior was recognized for her hard work and dedication to her education. 

Maya Murphy was awarded the 2025 Outstanding Student of the Year from Kirkwood Washington County Regional Center. With her dedication to the College Credit in High School (CCHS) program, Murphy is on track to graduate in May with both her high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree. This fall, she will attend the University of Missouri to major in biological sciences on the pre-med track.

The Kirkwood Outstanding Student award recognizes individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and completion of significant college coursework while still in high school.
