The latest fishing report at Lake Darling shows fair conditions for both black crappies and bluegills, according to the report released last Thursday by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

The water temperature is 60 degrees and clarity is beginning to improve after two inches of Easter rain muddied the waters.

Crappies are currently holding over rock piles, while anglers have reported catching bluegills while using small jigs trying to catch crappies.
