The City of Kalona’s newest park, Vista Park, will be host to a ribbon cutting ceremony from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The park, located in the Southtown recreational area, includes new public restrooms, an ADA-accessible playground and splashpad, two multipurpose fields, disc golf, a public trail, and two public ponds.

The ribbon cutting and an accompanying presentation will take place at 10:30, but the Juniper Roots food truck, snacks, and a county preservationist will be available throughout the event as the public is welcome to explore the park, and a kids’ fishing competition will be conducted as well.
